KeptLet

KeptLet terms of service

Last updated: [date]

These terms are between you and [Luke's full name], trading as KeptLet, [address].

What KeptLet is

KeptLet helps private landlords in England keep track of certificates, deadlines and records. It is a checklist and reminder tool, not legal advice. The rules summarised in the app link to official guidance, which takes priority. You remain responsible for meeting your legal obligations as a landlord, including if a reminder fails to arrive.

Your account

Keep your email account secure, since sign-in codes are sent there. You must be 18 or over and a landlord or acting for one.

Subscriptions

When a subscription ends

Your account becomes read-only. You can still see and export all your records and documents, free, for as long as your account exists. Reminders stop.

Your content

Your records belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service. Don't upload anything unlawful.

Our liability

We provide KeptLet with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for fines, penalties or losses that result from relying on the app instead of checking your obligations, or from missed reminders, except where the law doesn't allow us to exclude liability (for example for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms and will tell you about significant changes in the app. You can delete your account at any time.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
